Drake Finance Group arranges export financing and business loans for U.S. and foreign companies. The company represents numerous wholesale lending sources nationwide and the team of loan officers has more than 100 years of combined commercial banking experience.

Whether a company is exporting capital equipment overseas, is in need of a bank credit line or working capital, Drake Finance Croup's loan programs and services are tailored to meet the needs efficiently and cost effectively.

Drake Finance Group's mission is two-fold:

To secure export financing for U.S. Exporters and Foreign Buyers of capital equipment, spare parts, bulk agricultural products, raw materials and consumer durables.

To arrange and facilitate asset based loans, equipment leasing, factoring and lines of credit for U.S. and Canadian based businesses.

The principals of Drake Finance Group have lived and worked overseas. Both are U.S. trained attorneys who have advised several U.S. and foreign companies on, matters relating to trade finance, company formation, Commercial transactions and corporate finance.

Richard Lopez, JD, Managing Principal

Prior to establishing Drake Finance Group, Richard Lopez served as the Director of Enterprise Florida (Florida Department of Commerce) and Special Projects Advisor to the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Caracas, Venezuela. In this position, he was responsible for developing trade and investment opportunities between Florida and Venezuela. Mr. Lopez was also a consultant during his stint in Latin America. He holds a Juris Doctor from Touro college, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, with semester programs at the University of Miami School of Law and the University of Detroit School of Law (London Program). In addition, Mr. Lopez earned a Master of International Management from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management, la Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and a. Master of Arts in International Studies from the University of Miami. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations at Florida International University..

Maria T. Currier, Esq.

Maria Currier is a Partner with the international law firm of Hunton & Williams. Her practice focuses on corporate mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance and international cross-border transactions. She has represented clients in the health care sector and technology companies, from start-ups to fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Hunton and Williams, Ms. Currier was the U.S. Resident Partner for the Caracas office of the international law farm of Steel Hector, & Davis LLP. Ms. Currier holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Louis University
