Kidnap & Ransom. For personnel who are stationed in foreign countries or who frequently travel to high risk markets, K & R insurance protects the employer for costs related to recovering a kidnapped employee and paying any necessary ransom. Having K & R insurance not only reduces the financial risk of kidnapping but, more importantly, by using the resources of the insurer, safe return of kidnapped employees is enhanced.

Crime. Also called Fidelity Bonds. When personnel are required to handle cash or securities in the conduct of their affairs a foreign Crime Bond extends the territory covered. Normally the domestic U.S. policy is limited in territory to the U.S. and Canada.

Inland Marine Insurance. This covers your property at a temporary location such as warehouse, customer's location before delivery or installation, or in-between fixed locations. The same territorial limits often apply as indicated under the Crime section above. Such policies can be structured on a monthly reporting basis like the "shipments form" monthly reporting credit insurance policies and marine (cargo) insurance with its monthly "bordereau" reports.
